In the 200's

Finally less than 300 days til the wedding! I can't believe how quickly time is going. I remember looking at the countdown when there were exactly 395 days to the wedding, and now there is 298! where did all those days go?

For the most part, we have been on track with what the typical wedding timeline has said. Our next task is going to be finding a florist. Having our wedding a few hours from where we live definitely makes this difficult. Add in that Mr. ATC never has the same days off and I'm starting a new job working the midnight shift and our planning just got a whole lot more difficult. I feel as overwhelmed as I did in the beginning when I first looked at a wedding timeline and tried to keep everything straight in my head. : /

On a better note though, one that I would like to talk about because it involves checking things off our to do list, is that we finished our store registries. We registered at Macy's and just at target a few days ago. Last night, we sat down and made all the decisions on which product from which store, deleted some items, added some items, and made sure everything on our must have list is on one of our registries. We even made sure to link to them on our wedding website. Yay us!

We are still toying with the idea of a honeymoon registry, but I don't want our guests to think we are greedy. Everything on our store lists is definitely a need. Even though we have been living together, we don't have basic essentials for cooking because what we have was combined from when we both moved here. There are a few wants in there (like a kitchen aid mixer :)). On the other hand, a honeymoon registry is really a want since a honeymoon isn't really necessary. It would be nice to have some things paid for since we will not be able to afford a super nice honeymoon. Our travel and hotel is being paid for with airline miles and hotel rewards and most of our savings is going toward the wedding and possibly a house (but that's a whole other post for a different day) so there really isn't much left over for a honeymoon. I am so thankful to have a fiance who plans way in advance because otherwise, we would not be able to have a honeymoon at all. He's actually been saving airline miles since before we went to Europe this summer, and basically as soon as we got home, he made sure to sign up for a credit card that gives hotel rewards so that we could use them for the honeymoon.

I would love to hear anyone's experience with honeymoon registries, good or bad.
